American bettors are stumped: Who to bet on for Final Four Glory
In the most unpredictable NCAA basketball tournament ever, Americans are betting predictably, which is to say, they don't know which of the four teams to bet on to win the championship on Monday night. With upsets and Cinderella teams wreaking havoc throughout the tournament no clear favorite has emerged with bettors at Sportsbook.com.
Despite a record volume of wagers, very little separates the betting on the top three teams. UCLA has received 29.8 per cent of total wagers to date, followed by LSU at 28.5 per cent and Florida at 27.6 per cent. Even George Mason, the least regarded of the four, has garnered significant attention with 14.1 per cent of total wagers backing the Patriots.
See the betting demographic here: Final Four Map (requires Adobe).
It will be fun to watch, no matter who wins. I'm rooting for Gearge Mason, but I'm not willing to risk any money on them to win it all. I'll take a look at Saturday's match-ups tonight and post if I have any plays.
Good Luck.

March Madness Sports Betting Update
Easy cover yesterday, I was close to betting on SC and the game’s over as well, but I didn’t pull the trigger… oh well.
With the cover yesterday, this sports bettor’s NCAA March Madness sports betting record comes to 9-7-2... Nothing great, but respectable.
Good Luck.

NCAA Basketball: NIT Championship Betting
1-2 yesterday in professional hoops. Not the best, still tweaking a system which could work accross basketball... Anyway, there is really nothing to bet today in the NBA. But the NIT Championship?

Sportsbook.com posts the widest array of odds for the 2006 baseball season
World Series, Pennant Races, Home Run Derby and dozens of other props offered as MLB set to kick off another season
NEW YORK, NY, March 28 - The Boys of Summer are ready to swing into action this weekend as Major League Baseball kicks off another season. Sportsbook.com is offering online bettors the widest variety of odds and betting propositions ever and is expecting a record volume of betting throughout the next seven months.
"If baseball is as American as apple pie, betting is the vanilla ice cream on top. Everybody bets and everybody bets on baseball," said Alex Czajkowski, Sportsbook.com. "We're offering bettors the chance to wager on everything from daily games to who will win the World Series and home run derby to how many RBIs, steals, walks and hits the leader in each of those categories will have at the end of the season. We're also offering fans the chance to wager on individual player performances throughout the season."
Online betting has become hugely popular in the last five years. According to Christiansen Capital Advisors, the online gambling industry will generate over $10 billion in revenues this year and a significant portion of that will come from baseball related bets.
"As the world's largest online sportsbook and casino, Sportsbook.com is committed to providing the greatest variety of betting options to an ever growing fan base," added Czajkowski.
If the odds makers are on the money this year, baseball fans could see a New York Subway Series as both the Yankees and Mets sit at the top of the odds table. The Yankees are 7-2 favorites to break out of their slump and capture their first championship in six years, while the Mets are a 5-1 bet. The Chicago White Sox, last year's champions are a 9-2 bet, followed by the St. Louis Cardinals at 7-1, Boston Red Sox at 10-1 and the Chicago Cubs at 12-1.
Alex Rodriguez is a slight favorite at 6-1 to win the home run derby. If he does win it he'll need 49 or more homers according to the odds makers. Sportsbook.com has set the over/under for league leading home runs at 48.5. Barry Bonds, the disgraced San Francisco Giants star who is trying to break Hank Aarons' all time home run record, is a 23-1 bet to lead the league in that category.

March Madness - George Mason? Really?
Well my bracket got destroyed today. Too bad cause I was in 3 place with a great shot at winning. Thank you George Mason :OP
What a cinderella story. GM in the final four, and the odds of them winning the tourney on St. Patrick's Day were 300-1. If only we knew...
Good Night, and Good Luck. (I had to do it once)

Sunday March Madness Bets
Sorry no plays today... I (like everyone) like U Conn to win, but 8 is too many points to give in this spot. I can't take the otherside because -9 could very well happen. In the later game, I give the edge to Nove, but this should be a close game. I can see it going either way...
For me, today's just one of those day when you just sit back and enjoy the games with no action. I have both U Conn and Villanova advancing in my NCAA bracket, so I have teams to root for :O)
I took a quick look at the NBA, and couldn't find any bets there too... If something pops up, I'll post it here.
Good Luck.
