NFL Week 2 Sports Betting Football Picks

Arizona Cardinals -7 (+105) over Miami Dolphins

I'm going with Cards again this week. I detailed their strengths last week, so I won't do it again here. I'm also going with their defense again in one of my fantasy teams (5 turnovers and 4 sacks last week). Miami looked terrible last week. Sure they almost beat the Jets, but is that hard to do? I watched this game, and they made a ton of mistakes. This is a young team that might be able to beat the Jets, but not Zona.

Tennessee Titans +1 (-110) over Cincinnati Bengals

I'm probably not the only one that thinks that the Titans are a better team without Vince Young. Collins should be fine leading this team. The Bengals looked bad last week, and I expect the tough Titans defense to make Palmer look bad again.

Buffalo Bills +5 (-110) over Jacksonville Jaguars

In the last 2 weeks, Jacksonville has lost most of it's offensive line. Because of this Garrard was sacked 7 times last week, threw 2 picks and was hurried all day. I really don't expect the Jags to have pulled it together in a week. The Bills looked good last week, but this is more of a bet against the Jags than a bet on the Bills.

All bets made at BoDog.

I'm still looking at Seattle, New Orleans and Atlanta as possible plays. I'll be back to post them, if I bet any.

I'm really leaning toward betting Houston this week, but with the game being delayed, I think I'm going to wait until Sunday or Monday before placing a bet.

1-2 last week in the NFL... not the best start.

NFL Sports Betting - Week 2 thoughts

On my way out of town, but I should have time tomorrow to run some numbers and post some picks. Due to the busy schedule, I have to pass on college this week.

A few thoughts on the NFL:

The Houston game has been pushed to Monday Night. I'm thinking that they may come out big after the hurricane. Of course, you will have to see if they play the game...

I like Seattle's home opener against a bad San Fran team... I still need to look at the points.

Kansas City isn't any better, but at home against a terrible Raiders team? I heard that the Raider's coach staff was fighting. Any truth to that? I might be on the Chiefs.

New Orleans looks interesting. Colston is out, but Brees spreads the ball around. Hopefully everyone is overreacting to the Colston news. I need to look at the line.

Speaking of lines, it seems like everyone on Jacksonville's offensive line is injured. This could make Buffalo a play.

Anyway, a few this to think about this week. I should have some bets up tomorrow or Sunday morning.

NFL Surviver Pick - Week 2

Seattle Seahawks (favored by 7)

I don't think you can go wrong fading the 9ers. I went with Zona last week, and I don't see why I shouldn't pick Seattle this week.

Seattle home opener against a bad San Fran team on the road for the 2nd week in a row... I like it.

I'll be back with actual bets later in the week...

NFL Week 1 Sports Betting - Final Card with MNF

Thanks to Penn State's easy cover yesterday, I'm now 2-0 on college football this year. Now to the NFL...

Sunday's games (see write from yesterday):
Arizona Cardinals -3 (-105) over San Francisco 49ers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers +3½ (-120) over New Orleans Saints

Monday Night Football:
Minnesota Vikings / Green Bay Packers Under 38 -110 (bet at BoDog)

Both teams will be running the ball (and the clock). Vikings have Patterson and GB will need to take the pressure off of Aaron Rogers. Both teams are also solid on defense... just look at the fantasy football rankings. Minny's D is usually in the top 3 on all 2008 lists, and I have the Packers in the top 10 this year. Minny's secondary is one of the best, and their pass rush should be better this year. The Packers will be focused on Patterson and shouldn't have a problem stopping the pass.

Good Luck
