Bodog.com Gears Up for Indy 500 with Odds on Andretti Duo, Danica and Other Drivers
The 90th Indianapolis 500 figures to be a test of youth versus experience, a duel of styles that can be summed up in one name: Andretti.
Michael Andretti, 43, has come out of a two-year retirement to drive against his 19-year-old son, Marco, in the most famous race in motor sports. The Bodog Sportsbook lists the elder Andretti as a 12/1 choice to wín his first Indy 500 while Marco is among the drivers in the Field (3/1) for the race on Sunday, May 28.
Among the other young drivers sure to test the veterans on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is 24-year-old Danica Patrick, who will try again to become the first woman to wín the Indy 500. A fourth-place finisher as a rookie last year, Patrick is at 18/1 odds to take the checkered flag for the David Letterman/Bobby Rahal Racing Team.
The Bodog Sportsbook has listed two-time winner Helio Castroneves as the 7/2 favorite. Pole-sitter Sam Hornish Jr., who averaged 228.985 mph in four qualifying laps, is 4/1. Last year's wínner, Dan Wheldon of Britain, is 9/2.
"The Indy 500 is a piece of American sports history and like any major sporting event it attracts numerous bettors," says Calvin Ayre, Bodog.com Founder and CEO. "More so than in recent years, this race on Sunday has many fascinating storylines. A father-son combo, talented past champions, and of course Danica Patrick. They'll all have our attention when the race goes off."

Fantasy Baseball Talk
Okay, I dropped Xavier Nady for Justin Morneau and Perdo Feliz for Aubrey Huff. Both Morneau and Huff have been struggling this season, but both have a lot of potential. Morneau was suppose to break out last year and it never happened... Well, there is some break out talk about him again this year, and I'm willing to take the gamble. Huff on the other hand was drafted pretty high, but was drop in my league due to his .160 batting average. Away, this guy is infamous for turning it on after the all-star break, so I'll ride out his slow streak for a while. Also there have been a lot of trade rumors about him going around. The most interesting? Atlanta or LA...
Well since I've been talking fantasy, I going to post my roster so you can see my team. I'm in a 10 team, H2H, 5x5, daily transaction league, with playoffs. And with plenty of money of course :O)
My team:
M. Barrett (ChC - C)
M. Teixeira (Tex - 1B)
M. Giles (Atl - 2B)
C. Figgins (LAA - 2B,3B,OF)
F. López (Cin - 2B,SS)
A. Huff (TB - 1B,3B,OF)
H. Ramírez (Fla - SS)
B. Abreu (Phi - OF)
G. Sizemore (Cle - OF)
M. Holliday (Col - OF)
J. Morneau (Min - 1B)
H. Matsui (NYY - OF) DL
R. Oswalt (Hou - SP)
N. Lowry (SF - SP)
S. Kazmir (TB - SP)
C. Cordero (Was - RP)
D. Turnbow (Mil - RP)
C. Ray (Bal - RP)
C. Sabathia (Cle - SP)
D. Haren (Oak - SP)
J. Lackey (LAA - SP)
K. Escobar (LAA - SP,RP)
Well that's all for now. Still on my betting hiatus.
Good Luck.

a fantasy baseball tuesday
Not betting, just focusing on fantasy baseball which for some reason I am stuck in the middle of the pack. My team is sick, but with a few injuries, I'm reevaluating a few positions. Currently, I’m weak at CI and my Utility position, and I’m decided who to keep and who to drop... My current list is:
Justin Morneau
Brad Wilkerson
Xavier Nady
Aubrey Huff
Lyle Overbay
Pedro Feliz
I have Nady (yeah, I jumped on that train) and Feliz (riding another hot bat)... Right now, I’m pretty sure that the X man is going for Morneau, but I’m still deciding if I should let Feliz go... He has great eligability, and he can stay hot (or not turn cold), I’d like to keep him...
Anyway, that’s about all going on. Still on a break from betting...
Good Luck.

A break from baseball betting
Taking the day off... I've been thinking of breaking until after the all star break. That should be enough time to stop the bleeding and let the wound clot...
Just kidding, I'm not down too bad, nothing that a good (or great) week won't change... Anyway, I'm betting smaller units on baseball (as always), so I'm still up pretty nice from football season... In fact my bankroll is still bigger now than it was at the end of last baseball season. So I really can't complain... but I can still take a break.
We'll see. Maybe I'll limit my plays some until I get hot... or maybe I just need to walk away for a while... either way, I'm trying not to sweat it, so I probably won't have any bets for a day or two...
Oh yeah, I'm sure you heard about my great Preakness Pick. In all fairness, no one saw that coming... but the way things have been running lately, can I really be surprised?
Anyway, good luck on all your action... and I'll be posting/betting again soon.
